Fire!

Has anyone here seen the dead Mini on Drayton Gardens in Chelsea (London)? I drove past it on Sunday and it was a scary sight.

Basically, its a 53 plate Blue Mini Cooper and looks like its engine caught fire. The car is clearly a write off as its badly burnt up to the driver. Also both side windows look like they have been smashed, maybe the passengers couldn't get out due to central locking failure? (assuming it burnt out with the fire)

I have read in the past about another Mini here in the UK which caught fire in much the same way.

Is this a 'known issue'? Was quite concerning seeing that, specially considering the incongruous settings (there were Porsche, Mercs and Maseratis parked in front and behind it like nobody's business).

As I drive a 52 plate Blue Mini Coopers too I am a bit worried!

Hmm even though it was incongruous settings it still could of been stolen and burnt, hence the smashed windows..

that hasn't been an issue for years with MINI, there are threads about this old issue on here, so recommend you use the search function to find out more if you are worried
