United-States Hatchback bike rack...

okay to use on the MINI? I've a nice two bike trunk/hatchback bike rack by Thule and wondered if anyone has one on their MINI. Any problems with damage to the hatchback with normal usage?

Thank you.

First let me just say that Im really... really anal about my car.
But to answer you question.

I have a saris bones rack and only put one bike on it to take my bike from DC to baltimore for a ride. The hooks on the rack scratched the edges of the hatch lid. I didnt like that so I havent used it since.

Other than that, a trunk mounted rack is cool.

Goonies never say die!

You think that you've got a problem. I've got to work out how to get a tandem and adult trailer bike (entire bike length 12' 6" joined) onto the roof of our Cooper.

Any ideas?!

Tigger.
