Newby ...

Hi

I am looking to buy an '05 Cooper S. I was originally looking at buying a 2 year old, but the vast number I have seen have all been a bit scruffy.

The missus wants an electric blue with white roof, mirrors and alloys. I have seen a couple of electric blue examples which have seemed "dull" - is there a known problem with electric blue fading, or are these isolated cases of people being rather "energetic" with the carwash.

Cheers

Simon

Hi,
Welcome to MINI2. In answer to your question about electric blue it's not one I've heard of personally. Why not take a look at the other areas on the site and use the search function.
Best of luck.

With the Electric Blue colour I think it is a personal perception issue.
I like the colour more when it is paired with a black roof.
I also think that EB suits the Cooper better than the S, but not all markets offer EB on the Cooper.
Whenever I see an EB/W Cooper S on the road (there are a few of them around these parts where MINI's are still quite rare) they leave me indifferent.
Your impression of EB appearing "dull" may just be that it does not push the right buttons for you.

Welcome to MINI2 strees

I don't think any colour should fade. Probably a car in need of a good clean and wax
