New nights shots! (about 20 preview pics - 56k be patient!)
Hey folks. Well it's been a while since I've shot anything. Just no time but last night we just had to do something. Several of us gathered together and hit a couple of spots I've been to before and one new location which produced one of the best pics I've taken, and of course, it just happens by accident. It's really funny.
So, the white frame pics were the final ones but thanks to Tuls and Emis for bringing their camera, there were some extra photos that they took, and also some post-processing fun by Tuls that I've posted below. Tuls also shot a lot of video and he's working on cutting it all together and we'll post those later once they are finished rendering.
I'll try to answer the questions that come up before hand. This was all shot with a Canon S45, at about 10pm-2am at three loacations in Phoenix/Scottsdale.
note If you want to get more information on the cars, please PM Tuls - that's his car in the indi blue with the CF bonnet, and he can tell you about his car and some of the others. That way we can just talk photos in this thread.

These guys will all be in Vegas for the Mini Vacation March 4-6th. I'll be there too for only Friday night so hopefully we'll see you there!

I kid you not when I say that you should really submit those photos to Go Mini magazine, they will absolutely love them!!! I'm sure they would fly over to the US to do a feature, or at the very least put these piccies here in their magazine - they are bloody brilliant
And a big thank you to you and your mates, you have given me several ideas about custom stripes and the lot. Not that I would want to copy what you guys have done to a T, but you have given me a very good idea how how good some of those custom stripes look.
Damn you Hafid! Makes me want to throw my camera away because I cannot take pictures of that caliber.
Seriously, amazing work. I'd take some night photos, but...

•The MINI is filthy, covered in salt, and it's too cold to wash it
I see those seriously lowered MINIs with splitters and go "that's nice", but then remember that my stock ride height Cooper has caught a few snow chunks on its front spoiler as it is, so there's no way I could go lower.
Oooh! I do have a question...
Are the shutter speeds you are using short enough that you don't run into "hot pixels"? I don't recall having hot pixel issues with <1 minute exposures, but had plenty of issues with really long stuff (like 5-15 minutes). If you did have to deal with hot pixels, how did you do it?
