Offline | Yeah, two questions: 1. Who crashed the MINI the other day on "black ice"? and 2. Is it true that Keith wears white panty hose? Missing my buddies Dan and Ed but glad I have two angel buddies , And on a quest to Right Secco's Wrongs |

Offline | Hi Bob Mini Tech I have a 2004 MC, 16,000 miles bought from Mini of Peabody....lately the stock non-HK radio has static on the FM...is intermittant...when I first turn the car and drive off, it is fine, but after 5-10 minutes, get background static.....if I pull over and stop the car and shut off the motor, the radio is nice and clear...then if I re-start the car, sometimes the static comes right back, other times I have another 5 minutes of quiet before the static comes back....it isn't terribly loud, just kind of in the background are there noise suppressors on the car some place, or any other ideas?? thanks |

Offline | static. Hi , this is concerning the static question. Turn on the vehicle and see if the static is worse when you turn on the rear defrost. There is an antenna in the rear glass and an amplifier in the hatch its self. IF the antenna in the glass is at fault, when you turn on the rear def. the static in the radio will change. that is the most common problem ive seen. |

Offline | Hi Bob, I've noticed sometimes when I open my driver door, I can hear the CD player eject mechanism activated. Also, sometimes when I get in the car, I notice the needle on the speedo jump. Is that normal? |

Offline | Hi Bob, Who kicked Gary upstairs? I tried to talk with the nice lady sitting at his desk downstairs about the stuff Gary and I usually discuss, you know, hair care products, wines, spas, and fashions but she wasn't interested. Is it true the MAs are getting group discount from a hair replacement center? Lawdy, Lawdy, the Cross I bear. |

| kgouin | I have a question. I have an 05 MC and I was wondering if you can put on the MFSW. I now wish I had gotten that when I ordered. Is it expensive to install it? My driving lamps are rusting. Is that covered under warranty? I picked up my MINI in August and when I washed it for the first time, I noticed there was an imperfection in the paint on the front bumper. It is round and indented. Is this covered under warranty? I figured I would just wait until my first service to address these issues because I didn't want to drive to Peabody until I have to. I will be in on March 25th for my first service. Thanks! |

Offline | This is a great idea, well done Bob.... Wish we had this in the UK. By the way, it was a shame to hear about your accident and I am glad that you are OK.. I do the "wheel bearing test" sometimes when I am driving my car... just for fun! In your professsional opinion, would having DSC been able to help you out with traction in those kind of circumstances...? Thanks for your time. |

Offline | Jeeze, leave the new guy alone. Keith no longer wears white pantyhouse. It's the Manzziere that's white. The hose used to be white. It's since "matured" and taken on a hue more akin to ivory. |

Offline | Clutch... Bob, I have an '04 MCS/JCW purchased Feb '04. A few mos ago @ 10k, the clutch started acted a bit weird, e.g. no pressure required to push to the floor, the accel. pedal felt "spongy", I know, it's drive by wire but there wasn't much "resistance" to the pedal, as there had been the first 10k. Took it by and Gary drove it in the parking lot, felt it was OK. Seemed OK after that. This week, it seems to be starting up again....doesn't feel like there's much torque above 4k, and when I get to the parking garage and get out (driving 20 mins), there's a hot metallic smell.... Any thoughts? Should I bring it in? TIA |
