Offline | US Allocations Received by Dealers Today ..at least that is what Tate Mini in Annapolis told me when I called for an update. They are sorting out the orders and inputing them right now. They said to call back later today and "hopefully I'll have some good news for you" i.e., I'll have made the July build cutoff. (deposit submitted April 20) Tom F. EB/W "S" delivered Aug 30 |

| Loves MINI2 | Tom I'm in the same boat as you. I am supposed to have a July built car, but it can't be confirmed until the dealer puts the allocation in. I've had my deposit down since November, so I would hope so!! I was going to call them in the morning to see if I got on and get more details. ![]() |

Offline | I too am promised a July build... ...only I called and the salesperson I usually deal with is OUT SICK TODAY. each salesperson has so far been directly responsible for their specific customers. I'm obviously in a bit of a panic. None of the other salespeople are answering phones, but I've messages for all of them. I'm afraid they'll take up all of the allotments... Maybe this warrants bolting from work for a trip down there.... I'm a freak. sixfoot6 Dark Silver "S" - White Top - Alloy Wheels - Sports Package - Premium Package - status: In Search of Twisties |

| heterochromic & loving it | Bug your dealer, it pays off. Up until now, I've gone down the path of trying not to be a pain, keeping calls/e-mails to a minimum. Based on what they told me right after the June allocation was announced (on 4/26) I was pretty certain that althought I had missed the boat on June builds by a few spots, I was right in line for a July build. Then yesterday I popped an e-mail over to my dealer to check when they would get their July build allocation. I got a fairly vague answer, so I pressed the issue further. They responded by giving me my production number, I logged into the Owners Lounge and my car is currently scheduled for 6/21 build (and it even has all the options right). I don't know if my order went in a couple weeks ago or just yesterday, and I really don't care, I'm just happy that the "when is my number going to come up" limbo is done. Now it's time for the "will they screw with my production date" limbo, but at least I'm "in the system" now. So call your dealer and be a pain! -Ricardo |

Offline | Production Date/Allocation I received an order number at the end of May for a supposed June build, July delivery S. But in the owners lounge the scheduled production date is 7/12/02. When I asked the dealer he said the delay must be due to the fact that I had ordered a sport package (Xenon delay??). I wish he had better answers! And he said that he hadn't received his July allocation yet. When you see a scheduled production date in the owners lounge I wonder how accurate it is? |

Offline | I would have to heartily agree with MGB Boy! I had this whole fiasco with my cooper S w/ sports package. I had this call into the dealership and they didn't get back to me until 5 calls and 2 weeks later. At first I wanted to get an update on my order, then I wanted to drop the Xenons because they were not important to me. Eventually it got straightened out and I got a June build date of 6/14 (started at 6/28 but I guess I got lucky by two weeks). So keep on them Hang Loose `m/ 7/20 The Bulldog Came Home!!! My salesperson called this morning to go over my order details and I should have a production number by this afternoon...
