| Good advice from Mooyer. Never trade a car back into the dealer, unless the dealer can match or exceed the price you can get from selling it yourself. Dealers won't normally give you retail value for your trade-in because they have to buy at wholesale to sell at retail. Wholesale value is anywhere from 10%-20% less than retail market value. That's what the dealer will offer. Sell the car yourself. Use the advertising medium that gives you the widest possible audience. EBay is excellent, MINIs go for huges prices in EBay auctions. It's easy, and puts a ton of money in your pocket to spend on pulleys, JCW upgrades, or jewelry for your S.O. good luck! |
