Offline | Visibility package comments Hi there I ordered my MINI Cooper earlier this week, and have chosen the visibility pack as one of the options - I would appreciate any feedback on whether or not this is a good idea - a couple of people have told me that the 'heating wires' within the screen are quite noticable. I haven't seen one myself first-hand though. Thanks in advance Russell |

Offline | I have the full Vis pack and love it I don't notice the lines most of the time, just very occassionally but it doesn't bother me at all It's great to be able to press a button and within a couple of minutes the screen is frost free. If you're anywhere near me you can have a look at my screen if you want. |

Offline | We have the visibility pack. you can see the lines and if you focus on the screen but when you are driving you focus at a distance, so you see through the lines. the vis pack is great on frosty mornings and when you have a misty screen it clears everything within seconds. we would not be without it. if you are worried about it take a test drive in a mini with it installed. do not rely on one in a show room because as everything is close by you will see the lines. |

![]() Now answering to Lady J! | I have the visibility package on my new MCS and didn't have it on my Cooper and I think it's well worth it. The fact that you can clear the windscreen quickly is fab and I love the rain sensor and I found it really useful on the motorway. |

Online | I've had the Auto Air Con on both my cars and found this great. GF'd Just got a cooper with Auto Air Con and Vis pack, and she finds the lines on the screen distracting, and I don't personally think it clears the screen any faster than just pressing the "demist" button on the Auto Air Con. The Rains sensoe is a good idea, as is the Auto Dimmin mirror. I've only ordered the auto dimming mirror though for the S ![]() |

Offline | Good decision russs99. I had it on the MC, and I've got it on the MCS, and it now includes the auto lights on/off Frost or even snow are no problem for the heated front screen, give it 20 to 30 seconds, then a quick flick of the wipers, job done ![]() |

Offline | I've found the visibility pack to be good value. Windscreen lines - no problem: you can see them if you look but they are not a distraction. Rain sensor works well for me - bit like cruise control - just set & forget. Auto dim mirror very good as is the auto headlights-on facility. I don't normally use the w/s defrost but the whole package seemed better value than gettting just auto-sense wipe etc. I |

| MINI2 Master | Can only go with what most have said here. The wires you do see when you're looking, but when you're driving you don't see them. Having a garage I haven't had to use the heated screen very often, but it has been lovely when I have had to use it. Remembering back to last winter when we had that weird evening where it snowed, then rained, then snowed again and froze. My screen was under about an inch of rock solid snow/ice and without the heated screen it would have taken AGES to thaw the screen out. As it happened it took a couple of minutes then the snow/ice slid off. ![]() |

Offline | Although my car is garaged I rarely use the windscreen heater but on the rare occasion I do it always impresses the passengers with it's speed . I've never noticed thewires except when I've deliberately gone looking for them. I though the auto-sensing wipers were a toy to many but I've been surprised how well (accurately) this works except at night when it often needs reseting. The mirror works so well I'd forgotten I had it until someone posted a question on it. Overall a bargain by BMW standards. ![]() Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs |

Offline | Stay with the Visability package!!! The auto dim rear mirror is a God send, you will not want to be without it. When I drive hubbys car (not that often!!) I hate it as he does not have this despite it being a top of the range model! Yes, you can see the lines but its like anything, if you know they are there you tend to stare at them! As you drive around you are focusing infront of the car not 2 ft infront of your nose so you won't notice them! The auto wipers are great too...... |

Offline | I wouldn't specify the pack again. The heating wires are generally invisible during the day (unless you focus on them) but the view is dulled - somewhat like looking through a fine denier stocking (remember those) But at night in the wet they are awfull as they scatter the light from other vehicles and street lights quite badly. I'm obviously in the minority here but it's another viewpoint. |
