DON'T buy from CoolNew LTD

hi

i ordered some stuff from coolnew ltd on the 27th jan and still havent recived the item. i have contacted them many of times and they said its out of stock. i have asked for a refund 3 weeks ago and have been checking my acount every day to see if it has been paid back in. to this day i havent received anything. i have contacted them and they said that they had refunded the money to me 2 weeks ago but still nothing.
i have read forums on here and i am not the first person it has happened 2.
so be warned if u buy from coolnew ltd

And only a matter of two weeks ago username "coolnew" was telling us all how it was a new era for their company......no more failed refunds......no more stories of poor stocks.....no more charging of cards before items despatched!!!

Well, it would seem a leopard can't change its spots!!!

Well finally some good news, the remainder of the underbonnet chrome kit finally appeared last week. This was an order placed last August bank holiday and my credit card billed the day after my order was placed. The kit comprises of 5 pieces of which 3 turned up in Jan only after e-mailing and ringing them. Its taken further e-mails a messing around until I e-mailed Tony at Cool New early last week to say if I dont get anything in the next few days then I will send what I have received back to them and recouperate the cost back through my credit card company. Cool New replied that they had sent the remainder of the order a while back and that it must have got lost in the post. Anyways 2 days after my e-mail the other pieces turned up. This is the underbonnet chrome kit comprising of oil filler cap, headlight and windscreen washer caps, coolant cap and brake fluid cap costing £148 squid or so. It was the only underbonnet kit I could find at the time. Looking around now eg Moss you can get the same stuff for half the price. After all the messing about with Cool New the shine has been taken off completely. Even 2 of the chrome pieces were scratched and I had to polish them up. I feel slightly shafted by these people.

What annoys me is that Cool New have been featured in the last couple of issues of Go MINI Mag both with their ads and with do it yourself features. Perhaps an e-mail to the editor is required.

If you want to order from Cool New just dont expect to receive your goods quickly and expect to be messed about.

Did you pay on a credit card? If so, get in contact with the credit card company and explain the situation to them. If you didn't pay on a credit card, make sure you do next time. Always pay on a credit card!
