Looking at some peoples pics on this forum, I notice that the screen on the sat nav shows the time and temperature.

THIS IS WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR...

I normally keep my display on Navigation, and find it frustrating to have to go to Computer to get the temperature. This is really only what I use the computer for, other than recalculating mpg when refuelling (once a week, max).
The clock would be useful, as I am not really used to looking up for the time yet...

How do I get this display on my car (an Apr '03 MCS, if it helps)?
Do I have to go to the dealer?
I assume it is a firmware upgrade of some kind.... what version am I looking for? How do I find what I have now?
What other "bonuses" do I get?

I don't thin any 1 has the clock showing on their Nav Display-Some of the other pics in Post are from the BMW System that does show the Clock and Temp at the bottom. Though you should have the Temp displayed?
I had an 03 MCSa nd it had the Temp displayed so unless you got a older version?

To get the version of software you are running go into the settings menu and it's top right I think from memory

I don't think the latest firmware includes time but it does include temp

try this thread (do a search for sat nav firmware)
