Yesterday I visited the Mini factory in Oxford. Firstly can I recommend anyone who hasn't been to go on this tour, as for any Mini fanatics it makes an excellant day out! And the best bit is that it only costs £3!!!! Amazing!!
The problem is that I now really can't wait for my
MCS to be born! The visit to the factory just made it all more real, after waiting for 5 months, trying to push it to the back of my mind, the visit to the factory has really rekindled my excitement. Even if it does mean that I am now boring all my friends with Mini facts.
Those robots are amazing, and really have to be seen to be appreciated!!!! They are so precise and gentle, again amazing!
I also saw the Chrono pack for the first time, and as I have it ordered it was nice to see it. I have seen many negative remarks about it, and so I was getting nervous, I almost took it off the order on several occasions during the wait, but I am pleased to say that when I saw it in the flesh I was really pleased to see how well it came out.
After all this excitement, I turned on my computer today to go to my first port of call, the Mini2 website, only to see the news article about the Mini factory workers going on strike!! & The news of delays for Mini owners!!
I thought, well the workers all looked happy enough when I was there. The I realised it was April 1st. What a twit! I was just so caught up in the excitement!!
After seeing the Italian job Minis which I saw on the factory tour, (One of which has 2 steering wheels by the way!! Very strange) I thought how much I liked the spotlights on the front, so I wasted no time and popped in to the dealer today to see how much it would cost to have them put on when I get my Mini. £350!!!!!

Isnt that £200 then just to fit them!! Its a shame, I don't think I can really justify that for a set of spotlights

I could go on the factory tour over 110 times for that!! Much better value for money.
Anyway, I must go and hide in a dark room to calm down
