what did u think when u saw a mini the same colour as yours??

i was the only one with a yellow mini around my town from the time i had her (in feb) until the begining of this month when TWO other yellow minis come along! i was GUTTED!! one was a old man who is hardly ever about and the other was a gay man from the top of my boyfrnds street! still tho, im the youngest and with the work iv done on my mini -- shes the best!!!

Firstly I have electric blue and when I bought mine it was an exclusive MCS colour so I am now GUTTED its across the range although I haven't seen another with black roof and black bonet vipers

Secondly can't a gay man have a yellow car?

i didn say there was nethng wrong with a gay man having yellow car! i was just sayin that a gay man had the same colour car as mine!

i havent seen an electric blue mcs with a black roof, seen one with white roof and stripes tho!

I think she was just hoping the said gay guy would have one of a different color than hers.
Steph, we all knew in the back of our minds that the MINI was only going to be more popular over time so the idea of an exclusive color was going to be shortlived. It sounds like you did the right thing and customized it so it can stand out a little more. I've started that process as I have a red one and it shouldn't be long until we see another one around town. (We added clear side marker lenses and Philips silvervision bulbs in them). We did a silly thing and added the decal "Actual Size" to the side rear window too. We are planning on adding white rear taillights when they are available for the '05. We'll continue to add things to strive to make it different from the rest for as long as we can.

Nugget is still on order, but is white over yellow which is still pretty rare here in the states. Especially in the sticks of Vermont. But just in case I'm planning to customize ours with golden paw prints over the roof...since we rescue abused golden retrievers and generally travel with at least one in the car.

There aren't too many ds/w around me, although there are a few ds/b. I pulled up beside the ds/w at lights at looked over to him, wanted to acknowledge him/his good choice with a nod or a thumbs up or something, but he just looked at me and looked away. No need for the rudeness! It would appear he's a bit of a boy racer type (has silver wiper spoiler-y thingys (no need for those either), so you'd think he'd know his cars, especially enough to acknowledge another ds/w...

anyway, minor rant over

that was one of my main reasons for choosing ds, the fact that there aren't as many about, and I'm glad that's still the case (at least roound where I am, anyway)

Here in Maine, I'm happy to see any other MINI.
I've seen 3 other LY (2 white, 1 black) here but mine is the only one with a roof graphic...

If another Maine LY/W ever shows up w/the checquered flag roof graphic, I'll chalk it up to them copying mine...imitation is the highest form of flattery!!!

Since I got my PW/B Cooper 4 months ago, I've only seen one other PW/B Cooper - it was 4 days after I got my car and 450km from home... and never again... Mine's actually the 5th PW/B I've ever seen... two was parked in parking lots, one was in the showroom in Cape Town, the other one was the first mentioned one and then mine...

You're wonderful for doing what you do. We've adopted 2 Boxers from a Boxer rescue and rescued dogs are the absolute best. And I love the pawprint idea. I've got a liquid yellow S with white bonnet stripes and a white roof. I'm just one of several here, but that's ok.
