Gurgling sound at startup?

Hey,

First post, have my first ever mini (one) about a week - have to say I am delighted with it! Drives really well (really does remind me of the old mini in the way it handles) and gets loads of positive attention which I wasn't quite expecting

I noticed a couple of things with it tho. One is that the gear knob clicks! I searched these forums and found other people talking about this - solution is a replacement so I will get back onto my dealer (they did try a replacement but it too clicked - looks like I need to get them to root thru their stock till they fiind a non-cliky one ).

The other issue is a tiny thing - one time this week when I started up I heard a gurgling sound for about 5 seconds. It was coming from the passenger (left) hand side. Sounded like a fair amount of liquid moving around. Haven't heard it since. Anyone any ideas what this might be?

Finally, in case my gear knob problem requires an aftermarket solution, any recommendations for a gear knob?

My Mini makes a gurgling sound sometimes after startup, I think it is just air settling in the coolant.

i had the gurgling sound on start up on my cooper they replaced some of the coolant pipes on the car and it was gone

take it to the dealer get them to sort it

hey,

thanks for the replies - the gear knob has actually stopped clicking! I think its the heat maybe has sorted it out?

Haven't heard the gurgling in a while either.
