| Picking up MINI tomorrow Heading off to Habbestad MINI on Long Island to pick up my new car. Replaces our Ford Escape as our teaching daughter to drive and wife's winter car. It will be doing triple duty as my summer fun car, something that could definitely not be said about the Escape. Configured as follows: Jet Black White roof with checkered sunroof Chrome line exterior (thought it would jazz up the black a bit) Gray/Black interior Sport seats Xenons Cold Weather DSC (needed for winter driving) CVT (needed for daughter driving) Looking forward to the 5 hour drive back home in my first MINI. | Sounds like a fantastic combination.Don't forget to post photos as soon as you can! You will certainly have heaps of fun when you do get to drive it-but one of the most traumatic things you now face is naming the car (the only other trauma I have is handing over the keys to let my wife drive.....  ) Nah,I got nuthin................. |

| First, welcome to MINI2  Sounds like a nice spec  But a question - you say white roof with chequered sun-roof. That's interesting so I really am looking forward to the pics. |

 tgcrun, how long did u have to wait for ur brand new mini? i just ordered mine and would like to get a ball park, they told me early july, but i was wondering if it would be sooner or later. thanks. |

| I ordered my Mini two days ago as well and they told me it will take 8 weeks. This will be a hard time but hey.. in July we can celebrate a second birthday  ps. at work I already said that I won't be available starting from around mid-july for aprox. 3 weeks at least Yule. |
