Alloy wheel problems

Hi Guy's
I'm a new Boy around here and would just like to say what a classy site you have here.some of you have some great looking motors.
Sorry that my first thread is a question, but in need some advice.I have problems with my Wifes Mini One's alloy wheels, whereby I can't get them properly clean.
I should explain I clean the whole car every week, using only the best cleaners with non abbrasive / non acid wheel cleaner, and still get left with black spot's on the alloys
The only way to remove the spots is to use metal polish or something like wonder wheel's which I hate useing.
So I wondered if anyone else had the same problem's and or a solution.
Many thanks and I hope I can add something positive soon.

Welcome creeps - Are you sure the spots aren't tar? Try Oven cleaner as this often does the trick and isn't harsh on wheels.

Hi Pepper
Thanks for the quick reply,I'm as sure as I can be it's not Tar as it happens in the winter as well as summer, also the black spots only settle where the spokes meet the rims, kind of in the corners, if you know what I mean
To be honest it seams to be hot brake pad material sticking to the wheels, just hope it's not burning in the laquar.
