Offline | Cooper newbie questions Hi all, I have been offered a good deal on a year-old Cooper. I have a couple of questions: 1. The seller is saying that the paint is a special colour (grey?) only normally available on the Cooper S. Is this a possibility or is it likely that the car has been resprayed? 2. Apparently it has a panoramic glass roof. Is this the only type of sunroof available on the Mini, and is it generally considered a desirable option. 3. It also has GPS, which he says was factory-fitted. Was this a factory option? Any help appreciated, Antony |

| Wolves Did It! | 1. The seller is saying that the paint is a special colour (grey?) only normally available on the Cooper S. Is this a possibility or is it likely that the car has been resprayed? if it's the dark silver, which is like a gun metal grey then yes it could be a respray. this has only ever been available on the S 2. Apparently it has a panoramic glass roof. Is this the only type of sunroof available on the Mini, and is it generally considered a desirable option. yes its the only sunroof option, whether its desirable is up to you really. 3. It also has GPS, which he says was factory-fitted. Was this a factory option? if the screen is in the large central dial which usually houses the speedo, & the speedo is mounted on the top of the steering column alongside the rev counter, then its the factory option |

Offline | As far as I know the Cooper has never been available in grey but pure silver. The large panel glass sunroof is the only option available from the MINI. Factory fitted sat-nav is an option and is situated where the central speedo is normally located. Hope this helps and welcome to MINI2. |
