working away

just got back from having to work at bridgend having to drive a beat up van still got back and already refound the reason why minis are fun again. i hated leaving my car behind but having to do long distances in a beat up old banger does really make you appericiate how nice a mini handles and how much quicker it is. quick question has anyone else had the same feeling? also has anyone worried about their mini when they have had to leave it behind for a week or two?

Same feeling here, drive an ageing 10 year old Transit in the day. Its nice to drive my Cooper, it has acceleration, brakes and it corners !! Purchased a outdoor fitted cover from MossMini for when i go away, keeps the bird crap off the paint ! Regards damian.

I know what you're talking about. Sometimes for my job at the prison, I get assigned to drive a Dodge Ram pick-up truck around the perimeter (no more than 15 mph)--for 8 straight hours! Talk about poor working conditions!

Hang up and drive!

Just got back from a business trip where I rented a Kia Optima with about 300 miles on the odometer. Immediately got acquainted with Kia quality as the power outside mirrors weren't functioning. Then there was the "manual-matic" transmission that pretended to allow you to shift for yourself...
Thank you, MINI, for allowing me to enjoy exotic car handling and premium auto quality at a price I can afford!

I actually love driving vans, especially Ford Transits - you can get away with so much more than in a normal car

I hate having to drive the van for work, it's an ancient yellow/rust merc van.... It's like driving a sofa I miss driving the mini, at least it handles better and doesn't have so many rattles
