Offline | Places you wouldnt take your MINI? Quite seriously.... I work in Swindon (UK) and of course have to drive about on the roads here, but they quite frankly suck! I have an MCS and I know the ride is hard but really isnt part of it down to the condition of the roads, you could be driving along perfectly happily and then dissapear down one of the many cracks/holes in the road surface! For any that do know Swindon, I kid you not, there is a MINI sized/shape hole on tadpole lane (between blundsdon railway bridge and that new development) that I dissaperared down the otherday! This is not a political statement of "where do my taxes go....blah blah blah".... more of a list of places/roads to avoid if you want to keep your mini in the manner to which it has become accustomed. Offline | Not really a place ... but from experience its never a good idea to overtake a snow-gritter ![]() Wrt places ... avoid any car-parks with cars, unless you can park next to an expensive/clean-looking car or at the end of the parking lot. But the most important place to avoid in a MINI, is a straight road ... ! Offline | One of those drive-thru Safari parks...... I would love to visit one (please no lectures about zoos/cruelty/confinement etc...) but I daren't take my precious Tallulah through...I have heard that the monkeys eat your wipers and pull the mirrors off (thinking about it, that is the chance I take whenever I park in the city centre ).....am I being silly or what? |

| 01 | i really wan t to go to one too, but anyone i ask to go with me says no because they dont want their car getting ruined. Last time i went was when i was about 6 with my parents and we had a crappy old volvo estate, monkeys pulled off all the windscreen wipers, the spray nosels, and the aerial, its never been fixed since |

Offline | Don't hold me to this, but the Woburn monkeys all died and got replaced with new ones, the new ones are currently very unsure of cars, unlike the old ones who would hapilly dismantle your car as you drove through! But there is a "chicken run" at Woburn safari park so you can drive by the monkeys, but being side to side with a Rhino in a MINI is a humbling experience, I can tell you! |
