Thumbs up 6/28 Production VINs

Thought it'd be kind of interesting to try to have some idea of the VIN range for 6/28 production and cool to see if any VINs are found to be sequential.

My 6/28 car (DS Cooper S) has a VIN ending in 54286. If MINI is like other car makers this # will increment for each car coming down the line in order.

Other people set for 6/28 production that I know of:
54006
54087

Curious where anyone else for this production date is (VIN #). And if you get produced early, let us know here...

Anxious!!

Dunno -- seems odd that the VIN is so far from the range of #s I have above. Maybe you want to call MINI USA and verify the VIN. Also, maybe your MINI was manufactured earlier and has been waiting for Xenons or something? Odd...

Now I'm nervous-I don't want to call and find out bad news! The only thing I can think off is I had my dealer go through his computer listing of different models because I specifically wanted BRG with a stick shift and sunroof. Maybe this car was to be produced at a different time but then I bought it. I'm not sure. I did notice that it had a production date only after I made it to the dealer to sign papers. I'm guessing it got bumped up. I hope anyway!

No-seriously-Those are the last 5 #'s listed at the end of my vin. My prod # is 9 blah blah-it's a short #.

Yup double check. Prod # starts with a 7 and is 7 digits long-It is similar to the last 5 of my VIN though. I think that is coincidence.

Smile STATUS 150

Just called MINI USA and spoke with a rep who was really nice and helpful.

My car (VIN 54286) is in production already. I inquired as to what that meant and she said it went into STATUS 150 on June 13th. That means that they are assembling all of the parts to make my car. She said that normally takes about a week.

Next step is status 151 for the body shop. So, if all goes as planned my S will be in the body shop this Thursday (the 20th).

Some of you other guys with lower VIN #s should call in for your status -- I'd be willing to bet you went into status 150 before the 13th and that you'll be in the body shop today or tomorrow!

My S had a scheduled production date of 6/21 with a VIN # ending in 53860. So I guess the increasing numbers makes sense. After seeing other responses I called to check the status. I was told that it is in 150 and should be moved to 151 today or tommorrow. Perhaps I'll get it in time for my birthday next month.
I can't stand the wait any longer. My co-workers are making fun of me for checking the Owners's Lounge more than once a day looking for updates. I even had to print out some of the Owner's Manual each day to give me something to pass the time.
