Things to Remember #34 -Shut the Sunroof before it Rains

It was a Lovely day, & so naturally I was having a blast around the country lanes with the Sunroof open ..as you do.
Got back home & normally the roof auto closes when I press the remote, but somehow I forgot to lock up & so when I go to get in it first thing on Monday morning I find its had its own Independance day celebration with the Rain Shower that was still continuing.

Fick Fock & Fackety Feck

Both The Headlining & Front seats were stained & the Carpets Soaked

Ive had a Mains driven Dehumidifier unit in the back for the last 3 days now & its so far collected around 2 litres of water, & Ive had to book it in to the dealers for a Full interior Valet

Let that be a lesson to me

Feel for ya

At least you didn't accidently hit the window down button while sitting in a car wash. Of course, I don't know anybody (ehem) that has done that

The Dehumidifier unit looks like its done a good job & has gotten out all the moisture its going to ... there`s a spider on the floor that looks decidely Parched
The headlining has got back to its normal look, & the carpets have fared well, but stains remain on the seats so hopefully a good Valet at the dealers will sort that out next week

This exact thing happened to me in my old car! Left it open during a big storm. Remembered it was
open at about 4 in the morning, and it had been pouring since 12!!!! I had about an inch of water
collected in the floor around the back seats!...Left it out in the sun for a day with the windows up
and it dryed out ok. But i did have a mildew like smell in it for a couple of days....that luckily went
away though. Live you learn i guess. good luck

We used to have a Peugeot 106 when we first got married, one day we had gone shopping and had left the car in the car park with the sunroof open (it was a lovely sunny day). When we got back to the car about 3 hours later, we found that while we were in the shop there was a freak storm and we discovered that the car had magically changed into a swimming pool. There was about 2 inches of water in the foot well, and the multichanger that was under the front seat didn't seem to want to work very well. The seats were completely drenched, it took us a while to sit in them as it felt awful! Took ages to dry it out and it stunk for a while.

*Left blank so you can use your imagination*
