HB MCS on its way 3 weeks early!

Just got a call from my dealer saying my car has arrived and is going through its pre dealer check now. A full 3 weeks early

Picking it up bright and early next Saturday cant wait.

Dealer asked if I wanted to add £350 option for Supaguard before delivery, which included 3 years paint protection and protection for the inside. This seemed a bit steep to me. Is this option worth it? Or is the dealer trying to make a quick buck from me - he did give me a 1% discount!

Any advice will be much appreciated

Roll on next Saturday - hope it goes smoothly!

Thats great!
Remember to take your Camera with you on the pickup!

I wouldn't worry about getting the SuperGuard-It's just a Dealer Add on theymakes loads on!
You can buy the materials for £30 and do it yourself!

Yeah i thought it was a bit overpriced! Will buy something similar and get my boyfriend to apply it!

Trying to sort out insurance now best quotes from Diamond, Privilege and Adrian Flux. Only a couple of pounds a difference. Not sure which company to go with?

Any ideas?

Had another look at Mini Insurance again. Their quote was £300 less than it was last month!? So went with them in the end only just more expensive than the others. Will have peace at mind knowing my Mini will be in good hands should i have an accident (hope not!)

Been driving around in my boyfriends Golf GTI for the last 2 weeks as I have sold my old car. It is wicked - super fast. Sure mine will be more fun though!

Just the 7 day count down now. Good job i am really busy all next week. Time will fly.

Nice one. Hyper Blue is possibly the best colour ever for a MCS. With body coloured dash and chrome interior it looks even better. Take it from the flag you're a Scottish lass. Whereabouts? Lived in Edinburgh for 4 years. The 702 from down south to Edinburgh just seems like perfect MCS driving territory!

Spend the £350 on a nice loud stereo to drown out all the rattles.

I am from a small village near Dunfermline, but I am working down south at the moment.

My mum was trying to convince me to get a St Andrews on the roof. But I thought I might attract vandalism as I spend most of my time in England. Might get a Union Jack at some point though. Think it will look cool with the colour.

Picking my car up at Portsmouth. I have been fairly impressed with the dealer. He took me serious from the start even though I am fairly young. I have been into other dealerships that would not even approach me.

Going to be doing the long drive back home mid August - so it will be run in for the way back!

Awesome. That will be one hell of a drive to break her in. Have fun. Know what you mean about not being taken seriously. I'm only 23 and went into the local dealer. Stood around for half an hour without so much as seeing a sales person. Went in a week later with my mother. Started talking to her like she was buying a car until I said 'I want to buy a Mini Cooper S'.

Hi Claire,

I'm picking up my hyper blue mcs on Thursday afternoon. Mine is also 2 and a half weeks early!!!
I had an excellent insurance quote from Privilege, were about much cheaper at 320 quid.

I wouldn't bother with the Supaguard either. The items can be bought fro ebay(20-30 Pound) and its nothing you can't do yourself on the drive.
