So I was motoring around today and all of the sudden my CD started to fast forward.

It turns out this was not a one-time thing, it happens all the time now! Great new feature!

If it's on tune, the Mini automatically scans each station for me! And if I have a CD in, it just fast forwards, and fast forwards, and fast forwards... until I turn it off... it really gives me an opportunity to listen to more music! I can listen to an entire CD in under 5 minutes now - talk about efficient! And the best part is, when I turn it off so it stops, sometimes it doesn't turn back on for a few minutes!

Guess I have a reason to get an aftermarket player now.

My mates did that, the dealer said it wassomething to do with the firmware and his MFSW.....got a firmware upgrade and it was all sorted!

What's firmware? and what's an MSFW? I must be an idiot!

Firmware is basically software that tells something how to work.. MFSW stands for multi function steering wheel - the buttons that control the radio..
