Buying a Mini - Looking for some advice

Hey guys, I've found myself a beautiful little Mini Cooper S and was hoping to get some tips from the pros - or at least be directed in the right direction.

To give you an idea, it's a 2002 model Mini Cooper S with xenons, the double sunroof thingy, 17"s with run flats, leather interior, and 6spd manual.

I was wondering, how does the 2002 rate compared to other Mini models and years? And what are the biggest cons you have all found in owning the car? What kind of person do you have to be to drive one of these things?? Oh and I test drove a '03 a week before test driving this one and the amount of "kick" that the '03 had seemed to be significantly more than this. Am I correct? Or was it just a bad day? Or is there something that this is telling me about the car?

I love the colour combo on this car here and was curious as to what kind of bonnet stripes I could get happening on this car. It is nearly a must for me! Would anyone be able to post pics or give me a link to a sea of good bonnet stripe/colour combo photos on this dark silver? I have no idea of what could work and have struggled to find decent pictures on the internet.

Also, what do you guys prefer? The white roof? Or a darker roof with darker trim around the arches and skirts?

Oh and on a side note: why can't I post in my regional forums section? Ie. Australia.
