Under what conditions are u allowed to go for an extended test drive? where u can take it away for the weekend?

If you are buying the car privately it becomes more difficult to arrange extended test drives. If you are buying a company car, dealers can start to bend over backwards. My father last year arranged a weekend test drive with a free tank of fuel.

Most dealers will offer a 1 hour drive to be accompanied by a sales person.

You can ask for an extended drive, after all they can only say no.

Don't be too offended if you are turned down; it may depend on the individual dealership insurance policy.

Hi - I asked a couple of dealers for this. One of them (Stevenage) would not offer it but would rent me a mini for as long as I liked. The other (Bury St. Edmunds) is lending me a car overnight tonight so I can sit on the motorway for a few hours and see if the seats are gonna be ok. Guess some dealers are just more accomodating than others...

Depends where you are - Wollastons in Northamtpon will allow you a good time out with the car - alone

I had an MCS for a weekend from Elms, Cambridge. It was offered without me even asking. The only restriction was 150 miles per day.
