is $23,750 a good price for a used 2005 JCW MCS

it has 6100 miles. It has Harmon/Kardon, mf steering wheel, roof rack, cold weather, metallic paint and JCW. It is mint condition. Or, I can get a BRAND NEW 2005 MCS with Xenon, chrome interior and mf steering wheel for $21,950. Which is a better deal and why? Help me figure this out.

A dealer fitted Works Kit will cost around $6,000, while the factory fit JCW Package, which includes the JCW Engine Tuning Kit, JCW Brakes and LSD, will set you back at least $7,700 because you have to order the Sport Package with it.

$23,750 for a 2005 JCW with 6100 miles sounds like a sweet deal ... what's wrong with the car?

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't sure if the JCW package really added any value to the car on the used car market. It's hard for me to justify paying more for the used one in my mind. Call me crazy.

It's probably the cold weather package.

That JCW will raise the resale value and it will make the car a warranteed rocketship.

Nothing. It's mint with a clean carfax and 30 day money back guarantee from a New Car dealer that took it in as a trade.

no reason not to buy. unless you hate the color or something... your local MINI dealer may not give you a loaner at service times if you bring the outside sale to them, keep in mind.

Actually, I love the color. It's Hyper blue with a white roof. My wife wanted a Red/White car though. The new one is red/white. Thanks again for your responses. BTW, I almost bought a 2004 JCW MCS with all 4 packages, leather, nav, 7600 miles, extra tires and rims for $24,000 but I stumbled across the 2005.

thanks again and goodnight. I already have a $500 deposit on it so I am not worried. I was just questioning my wisdom.

Dang, if they are giving the trade at that price, someone got raped when they traded it in! Your gain!
