driver side window

hi all. my dealer tells me that the software has not come to the US yet to progam the driver side window to go up by itself with a short click of the toggle. it does say so clearly in the owner's manual that it can be done. anyone have this option yet, and if so, where are you located? thanks

from what i've understood this is already possible, but it's a legal issue; can't let the windows up unattended because things might get caught (fingers, heads and various other bits). doesn' make a whole lot of sense to me, especially as other cars already do this. perhaps the mini doesn't sense when something's in the way?

still, i believe some american minis already have the feature switched on. perhaps by a rogue dealer not going by he book. perhaps an early build and the software's since been changed.

You can only put the window up by the key in the door because the windows do not have a sensor if something gets stuck in it like other makes of vehicle. sorry!

On certain models the drivers side does toggle up as long as the engine is running. Try that and see if it works.

Yeah thats standard isn't it. When engine is running you press the toggle switch up once and it goes up or down with one touch. I know the pasenger side doesn;t do this upwards, only down.
