Have you lost control?

Of your MINI, that is. I've noticed several posts/replies about people losing control, ending up in ditches, on banks, etc. - hey I was one of them! I'm just wondering how many people this has happened to - and what the reason generally is? I know that this is a tough little car that can handle curves - yet sometimes the ending isn't so happy. After having it happen to you, it can be hard to relax when the next deep curve is in front of you.

That's one of my favorite MINI videos, as Restyle goes off the track and uses the run-off room for a graceful reverse slide stop. Bravo--well done, I think everyone should be REQUIRED to do this!

This is a difficult question to answer, because the question is really two fold:

1. Did you lose control?
2. Did you recover before crashing?

My answers are yes to #1 and yes to #2, sometimes with DSC and sometimes without.
