woke up this morning to find my Mini missing! - they fished my house and car keys during the night

please look out for a PW cooper reg: LB05 WTW from the Croydon and surrounding area

can't believe as i've only had it for 6 weeks!!!

Sorry to hear of this... and the other stolen MINI as well. It is a shame that the alarm/immobiliser in many modern cars mean that there is no more hotwiring and the thieves HAVE to get the keys. So that's what they are doing.....

Moral of this story, leave your keys hidden in the house, especially if you park your car on your drive. Especially dont leave it in view of the letterbox.

I have a drive, but it is shared with 4 other cars, so any potential thief will not know which car belongs to which house.... but I still hide my keys, put the chain on....etc

Yes good idea, but if the scum look around your house and cannot find the keys they might ask you where they are....and i don't think they would be polite about it....if they want them they will get them..

The best thing you can do is make your house less attractive to the Scum..i know the Mini does not help, but, security lights, window locks ect....oh and a big dog

i have 3 dogs and they hear everything, they can bark loud, if you were scum and you heard 3 dogs barking would you go to the next house along (with or without a Mini)?

Don't give up hope on this one. My car was taken last weekend and was recovered safe and sound 3 day later. Not all of the stories that MINI's are stolen to order and out of the country in a matter of hours are true.

oh my, hope you get it back, cant believe theres been two in such a short space of time,

my family have a bowel in the front window next to the front door with a pile of keys in for all of 5 cars that are parked in the drivway every night,

i take mine to bed with me, but i just know something will happen soon, they wont learn though.
