....saving us all £38 each! Remember, the "usual" price from Lohen is pretty low to start with compared to the competition, plus the offer price includes next day before noon delivery. Alternatively, you can collect the kit from Lohen HQ in Staffordshire yourself for £180 (no delivery charge) with the option of fitting for around £25.

Anyway - big thanks to Jim who's been a legend... after a week of phoning and emailing around, I don't think we can realistically beat this offer.

Just looked on Minispeeds wed site and they have them priced at £192+ vat,might be worth a call to them as well.

Cheers Keith - with the VAT, the Minispeed price is about average (and they're not a sponsor, so for the purpose of the group buy, I wouldn't be able to approach them - though hopefully, the sponsors will give us a good deal!)

I will get prices across the board though, and if a non-sponsor comes in cheaper, I will give people the option to go elsewhere of their own accord and cancel the group buy if interest falls (shouldn't happen though, assuming the sponsors are feeling friendly).

So that's 3 full kits so far, and one partial. 2 more full kits and I'll get some prices. Come on people, I want my Alta!

OK, I've had the first few prices back - one is potentially VERY good if the postage remains reasonable. The others all represent a saving but I think there might still be a better deal out there. There are a few more places I want to try, but I should have some prices to show tonight or tomorrow...

Is there any chance of just getting the metal housing/shield? I bought mine second hand and someone had hacked away at it

I am hoping that whatever discount I get applied to the whole kit, I will be able to get applied to individual parts - although I don't know if anyone will split just the housing? The postage might not be terribly cost effective either, but I'll definitely find out.

Sorry for the delay with the prices guys - still waiting to hear from Lohen and one other place... I will hopefully give them a call tomorrow if they don't email me back today. I have had a good price from the US though, just need to make sure the shipping can be done for a sensible price, but even taking that into consideration it's a pretty considerable saving.
