They'll be a long 24 hours. Hehehe. Going to clean my girlfriends Clio (trading it in for a Suzuki Swift Sport!), and then will go and drive my Cooper S... hehe.

Should take my mind off of the Play Off final tomorrow... Ooo!

Just curious... has everyone else had their exhaust arrive already? I'm thinking because I'm quite a bit further away (Scotland), it's taking a little longer for it to get here...?

Many thanks,
Andrew.

I was doing my best to try not to appear too impatient.

That said, I only needed a slight nudge to go to the phones - will give them a call later this afternoon if I can grab a few minutes.

I'm in the Bishopbriggs area - not too far from the train station.

Unfortunately, I have a bit of a poor history when it comes to automotive DIY - I inadvertently set fire to a SmartCar in the past (while I was in it) and I'm subsequently a bit nervous of doing things myself.

Looking at this from the perspective of having to climb under the jacked up car and the potential for my clumsy nature to have fatal consequences quickly becomes frighteningly large.

I did speak to Drivers Ltd on St. George Street (while they were helping to clean/oil some sticky callipers for me) - but they said "we supply and fit parts - we don't fit mail-order." I pointed out that they would be earning from the fitting and they said "It's not enough. We've been tuning cars for 35 years and..." etc. So that's not really an option. It seems they're unwilling to work on cars that have parts not bought through them, so I'm not going to be able to go back - since all my performance parts are ordered through MINI2 sponsors. I understand that's their business model, so no ill-will, but I won't be able to go back to them.

So, on the lookout for options up here - alternatively, I'm trying to get to GTT when I'm down south for a remap (during a family visit for the girlfriend at the end of the month) and might have a word with Roland to see if he'd fit it while the car's in with him.

What do you reckon?

Fitted this morning, took my local 90mins - and after all the fuss the brackets on the silencers weren't used after all At the back its just about touching the trim of the rear bumper, so I may do a sliver of trimming of the black plastic.

Only done 25 miles so far, but sounds deeper in tone and not chavvy at all Power delivery seems slightly smoother, hope I'm not imagining things!

Best group buy I've seen in five years on these forums Thanks to those that made it happen.

Ha! Its a small world - my wife is from Bishie - Elm Bank.
If Roland won't do it then I would get a locla garage to do it for you before you go then you will be able to go down with the Miltek on and enjoy its dulsit tones on the way down. I do know a mobile mechanic who would probably fit it for you he is a friend of the in laws. I could PM his details if you want?
I got in touch with Drivers too but just to see what a great deal I was getting

Wow, it really is a small world!

A mobile mechanic? So does he do fittings at people's houses/workplaces? That'd be excellent.

Fitted!

My Milltek is fitted.

Really really really pleased with it. Sounds daft but I had a restless night last night, after reading some posts about quite a few people having probs fitting etc. and it needing washers here, there and everywhere....nothing ever goes smoothly for me, but, ...... I needn't have worried, it's gone on a treat and looks fab.

It sounds great, not too in yu face, but enough to make me grin

Thanks to Nylo for arranging this, I'm especially grateful such a newbie could join in too.
