Im worried about gettin gme exhaust fitted. From other threads people have wished they havd fitted them themselves as it was really easy. But im worried that if I do this it wont sit properly and will rub on the bumper, this maybe the case if someone from a local garage does it. The only other option is a 3hr drive to Lohen to collect and get them to fit it for me!

What would you do?

Just phone up some of your local 'back street' garages. Someone whould fit it no bother for the sake of £30+, don't stress yourself

Honestly, I would ask alot of people for instructions and their opinions on how they did it and what they thought then decide on that BUT also have a backup plan for getting it fitted at a garage

Although i really want it on so will leave it up to my local mechanic to do it quickly!!! lol

My friend Math has his fitted and his tips at an odd angle. I think there is a thread somewhere from Roland he told me about that shows you how to get around it with 4 bolts.

In Issue Number 19 of Modern Mini Mag, there is a 'how to' relating to fitting exhaust tips made out by GT Tuning.

If you were to contact Modern Mini themselves I'm sure they would be able to supply you a copy of this 3 page spread. Or even better, someone on here may have it photocoppied!

Yeah ive got that issue but unfortunately its only about exhaust tips which you can buy for £70, its not the full exhaust system!

Just turned 18, not even 1 years no claims to play with yet. Been driving a year in June though

I am holding out though until I am 19 with, hopefully, 2 years no claims. Also When I am 19 and had held my liscence for 2 years, I will have an allowance of 12 points on my liscence instead of the allowance of 6 at the moment!

I've had a shot of my uncles Gp and I see where you are coming from, they are insane. I love the whine from S's and the ability to 'move' in higher gears He's selling it next year aswell..

Im almost 20 now which is scary. I only passed my test last July.

I passed when i was 18, and the honest reason being was that i had no incentive to drive when i turned 17. BUT when my parents bought the mini at the start of last year I was out every day in it and passed ASAP!!! First drive in the mini and I was hooked!

So for me as im going to uni this year im going to wait for a few years whilst holding off payment for uni until im out of it and hopefully buy an S in a few years. Maybe one or two years into my course.

I'm thinking of driving up to Lohen to get mine fitted, it's about 2 hour drive for me. My thinking is that if i have any problems with it, i only have to deal with one company to sort it out. Plus i get to hear it all the way home
