***UPDATE:- lohen have said they can't come up with a competitive quote. i have asked the bmw sponsor on this site for a quote - he's away till monday, i've also asked the ebayer for a hypothetical group discount - i don't know if any of the supervisors would be interested in having these guys sponsor the forum??

they sell genuine mini stuff and are reputable -

black jcw spoiler 1st gen price (incl delivery £190) (genuine bmw)
Original JCW Dachkanten-Spoiler Dark Silver MINI R50/53 on eBay, also Heckspoiler -flügel, Spoiler, Auto-Tuning -Styling, Auto Motorrad Teile (end time 07-Jun-08 10:11:50 BST)

white jcw spoiler 1st gen are more expensive (incl. delivery £380) (genuine bmw)
Original JCW Dachkanten-Spoiler Aspen White MINI R50/53 on eBay, also Heckspoiler -flügel, Spoiler, Auto-Tuning -Styling, Auto Motorrad Teile (end time 02-Jun-08 13:08:17 BST)

however, with the white spoiler specifically - it is cheaper from my bmw main dealer who can sell it for £311 (he said he'd do a 10% discount from £345) for a bulk order - i'm sure our bmw sponsor can better this! - although they routinely given 10% discounts for individual orders in the past.

may be cheaper to get a black spoiler and have it painted.- not sure....

again for the r56 spoilers, irrespective of color: - the best price i found was from my main dealer - £356 (10% discount given)

the other option other than black/white is to have the base bits in primer and you can have them painted whatever color you want.
(my dealer is bmw cooper thames ditton)

i will wait to hear from our site sponsor and keep you all posted.

well you could buy it your self now as it is advertised on ebay right now, but i suggest you hang in there as i'm angling for a discount on that price, just go to ebay and type jcw spoiler, tick the box for europe for search parameters and see for your self.

It comes with plugs to cover the holes up!

When i left the Mini in they planned to weld up the holes but JCW retro kit recommended not too incase it warped the roof!

You can see them in this thread

any german main dealer can give you that price. i tryed to get them to do a group buy but they weren't interested in sponsoring the site. the standard kit comes with the 2 fins that cover up the holes. the spoilers in aspen silver can be got for less than £250, while white and black are around £250-£260, exchange rate dependent. woodmans bmw on this site are doing 310-340 delivered, can't remember the exact figure but in that ball park.
adhesive is usually extra -£25 from bmw.

contact details for the german dude i used (they're on ebay too):-

Autohaus Grötzinger GmbH
Siegfried Hopper
Teilevertriebsleiter
Im Brenntenstock 3
74613 Öhringen
Tel: +49 (7941)9434-40
Fax: +49 (7941)9434-34

emails:-
Siegfried.Hopper@groetzinger.bmw-net.de
siegfried.hopper@autohaus-groetzinger.de
http://www.autohaus-groetzinger.de

he charged me 324 euros (£260approx) including postage. that was for a black jcw r53 spoiler with 2 fins to cover the extra 2 holes. the later spoilers are more expensive.

they occasionally have old stock that hasn't sold that they put on ebay from time to time, i've seen them go for <£200 so you could keep an eye out.

his english isn't amazing, but he is very straightforward and helpful.

here's another german selling one on ebay - note it's aspen silver so is cheaper than the quoted £260.
MINI One Cooper S JCW Carbon Spoiler John Cooper Works on eBay, also Heckspoiler -flügel, Spoiler, Auto-Tuning -Styling, Auto Motorrad Teile (end time 27-Jun-08 09:49:32 BST)

and another german...
eBay UK Shop - BMW: Original BMW, Radsatz, Komplett

they're good for jcw wheels too, you can get up to £400 off the price you'd pay over here but still expensive though!

not sure where you're getting your information from but the pound is still stronger than the euro although it has gradually been becoming relatively weaker over the years, i've doublechecked the exchange rate this evening and it's 1.26 euros to the pound at the moment.

Currency Converter | Currency Convertor for all Currencies - Yahoo! Finance UK

so 324 euros equates to £256 pounds.

obviously always check exchange rates b4 buying as they change daily. paypal's exchange rates are slightly different but not significantly different.

mate the Euro is strong against the pound, and its going to get a lot stronger, I am confident saying that as i have one of the citys top FX traders working in my office.

Anyuhow the ebay prices always show the converted price into sterling so hard to get caught out as sayanthan says.

looks like need a quick lesson in economics - i assumed that as long as there're more euros to the pound, the pound is still stronger? so 1.22 euros to the pound means you're getting more for your money especially with the cost of living being higher here in comparison to a lot of countries in europe?? oui?/non?

no not really mate, If only it was that simple.

As for cost of living, just come back forma week in le mans, i would say cost of living is higher in europe at the mometn than it is here,
