| MINI2 Regular | Next Group Buy Survey A bunch of us just jumped in on a group sway bar purchase (nod to TonyB) and I think it would be interesting to take a survey to see where the most interest is for the next purchase. This could be a monthly activity since I have a bunch of improvements I'd like to make and it makes for an intersting forum to compare the similiar products from different manufacturers. Let me know if I overlooked your favorite "easy to install" upgrade. Regards, Jim 2002 PS/B MCS |

Offline | Very nice jdw5155 - very proactive! The criteria for me to base such a decision are as follows: 1. do I already have it? 2. ease of install 3. bang for buck 4. would it be definite warranty-voider? so far, my mods are generally recognized as ones that are "safe." That being said, I'd be up for a stealth ECU, if you know what I mean. The header is a very easy install and would add 5 to 10hp, but a warranty buster or emissions concerns? If so, I guess one could just do a switch-aroo... '03 (9.6.02) MCS IB/W Lapis Blue Leather Mission = 10:1 (Weight:HP) |

Offline | I'm a "mod a month"guy.I have the Rogue intake,QS exhaust(from a group buy),and soon to install my group buy sway bar.I'll only purchase easy to install items,as I believe mods beyond my mechanical capabilities should be purchased installed. It would appear many items for our Minis are in stages of development. The throttle body is being reengineered, and I've yet to see proven dyno gains. The number of chip suppliers will be rapidly expanding. As chip suppliers become more common,I trust we'll see better pricing and proven HP gains.Today I don't see a group buy item for me,but I'll keep watching. |

Offline | Survey/Poll Modification You might want to PM MINIAC to see if he can make such changes or additions for you... You might want to get a complete list first though before contacting him. I would also consider suspension mods such as springs, sway bars, coil-overs, control arms... Also, a short shift kit is quite doable and usually less than 200 bucks! A great time to do the the exhaust as well And if you think the MINI is getting big now, wait until after 5/31!!! '03 (9.6.02) MCS IB/W Lapis Blue Leather Mission = 10:1 (Weight:HP) |

Offline | May 30, 2003 The advertisng for the MINI has been, let's say low-key. And I like that! Very subtle, but present, especially for the enthusisasts... That will change though, in a very cool way - starting on this date. Start making plans for that Friday night http://www.motortrend.com/features/n...ini/index.html That gives you plenty of time to see the original flick, if you have not. I see maybe a movie a year, this will be mine ![]() '03 (9.6.02) MCS IB/W Lapis Blue Leather Mission = 10:1 (Weight:HP) |

Offline | As I am in college, and no rental places near me, I did a quick search on Kazaa, and among the ton's of "Italian Porn" I found the 1969 Italian Job. Time to download, and hope it finishes before the 31st when I go see the new one! Pilo Racing www.piloracing.com Intakes, Ignitions, Heads, Superchargers and more... stop on in |

| MINI2 Regular | We're finally seeing a leader after such a close race. I have it set to finish after 7 days at which time I'll get another poll together with different options within the winning product type and let the debates rage again anew. Jim 2002 PS/B MCS |

| Addict | Give it a bit of time. I know i've been buisy lately and completely missed this thread--so i assume some others have too! One thing about some of the mods is that they'll only get better with time, since they're still evolving (perfect example: ECU). Whatever. |
