Offline | Still no word from Baradona or AMD I see. Anyone know what's up with the silence? I really can't see how a dealer could give you some trouble over just an exhaust though. Other than improving airflow, how could it possibly be considered detrimental. I can understand the pulley, ECU, springs.etc., debate, but an exhaust is pretty passive. As for the Playmini vs Milltek. I can only coment that I've heard positive comment on both, however, there seems to be a lot more Milltek owners than Playmini. don't know if that means anyting or not. The Milltek has also been shown to increase HP, but I've never seen anything for the Playmini. that doesn't mean it doesn't, just I've never seen anyone post any results. Digi-Tec MCS Gone Life without a supercharger is boring |

Offline | Sorry, I've been working too hard. Right, a list it is Buyers for sure: Cat-back only if 6 or more 1. Me 2. Northandy (tell me if I'm wrong) Full-system if 6 or more: My local dealership are being bums about warranty so I'm going to contact BMW. I don't see that they can invalidate anything on the warranty for a low pressure exhaust when they produce a Works one. I'm still trying to get shipping prices, but trying direct might be quicker. I'm going to call AmD today Last edited by baradona : Jan 23rd, 2004 at 08:42 AM. |

| AWOL | I've heard the same.... there are details of someone on here getting a supercharger replaced even though they had a reduced pulley on it.... so in that case an exhaust should cause zero probs !!! I know i've got the money waiting, just itching to order !!!.... |

Offline | Replacing the manifold will almost definately invalidate any warranty you have, though a lot of dealers seem cool with cat-backs. £90+vat is extremely expensive for fitting. I had my Minimania exhaust fitted for £30 at Kwikfit. |

| Yeah...I know !!! | Ive just had my car serviced and it is lowered and has GGR conversion and the dealer didnt say a dickie bird about it . They actually found a fault on the ABS sensor on the passenger side wheel which they needed to replace under warranty, so its been in twice now and they never mentioned it So unless they look for it i think they wont be bothered about it unless it causes a fault but is that likely? Worse case senario , you can put back on the original exhaust for when it goes in for a service - thats what i intend to do !!! ![]() |

Offline | Bonjour: We all agree fitting is too much, when I call this afternoon I will tell them this, but there is no compulsion to have the exhaust fitted there. It might be more expensive because it is 3 piece and not one. duncanbanana: not sure, not tried them. will fit (I hear - don't quote me) on 16 and 17 inch wheels so can't be huge. Offline | My Minimania cat-back was 2-piece (as I believe the Milltek cat-back minus manifold is). £30 back-hander to the guy at kwikfit was all it cost to fit. I was planning on swapping the exhaust off come service time. With a cat-back it's not so bad, but would it not be considerably more work with a manifold? If not then I may be interested in one (manifold only), presuming you get enough numbers. |
