Hi there everyone,

Following on from my previous thread we have developed a bit of interest in these awesome seats!! Myself and a couple of others will be phoning round several dealers/distributors to see if we can possibly sort out any sort of group discounts.

Please don't be holding yuor breath for huge reductions but we will see what we can come up with! Anyone who is genuinely interested in this, please do not hesitate to post up your interest! And please anyone else feel free to see if they can come up with any good quotes from any of there local dealers/distributors !!

As you already know I definately want a set! Waiting for a couple of phone calls back re some pricing, let me know how you get on!!

I'll get prices on full leather, full leather with heat and cloth and see what we can get sorted! If people can post what spec of seat they would be interested in, then we can try and get some prices together!

Hi,

Ive spoken to Cool New today about a group buy for the JCW seats. The prices they quoted me were as follows:

For 5 to 9 orders 5% discount

For 10 and above orders 7.5% discount

Apperently the 7.5% discount comes very close to cost price. From what I was told I think that all the variations are available, ie not everyone has to have the same colour seats, and the same discount rules apply.

So if you want some, this is the place to get them. Unless anyone can come up with anything better that is! And if you know anyone else that wants some let them know, cause the more people we get the cheaper they become!

Only problem would be fitting, and resetting the airbag indicator light........how do we get around that problem with a group buy though?

You can fit em yourselves, and BMW charge about £80 for resetting airbag lights...

...or disconnect battery, leave for 2-3 hours. Then Replace seats and attach the resistors or whatever to the old connections. Then re connect battery. No reset required!

Think it would be cheaper through BMW myself...

Ok then, so it looks as though were goona need to get around 10 people as definate interests and we should then be getting a fairly reasonable deal on some amazing pieces of kit!

From Cool New's prices it would work out as follows . .

Standard cost (full leather, inc VAT) = £1164 (pair)

10 Orders (as above) = £1076

Saving of £88 off every pair.

Sorry for pointing out the basic maths, just thought I'd make it simpler for everone.

I haven't had much look with any local dealers as of yet but will keep trying, especially as now we have a target to try and lower it past. Lets see if anybody will beat that price!

I've read on another thread that Sytner of Sheffield have been, and hopefully still are, offering 10% off all Mini parts/fitting. Might be worth a try?

Depending on when we actually purchase them i'd be interested, got a few things to work out first but i will keep a close eye on the thread. Have we tried John Cooper directly? i know that they are very expensive but as the producer of the seat we may be able to get a greater percentage of discount?! just a thought
Just in case you need the spec i'd be interested in it would be full leather. Anyone know what colour variations are available? is it possible to get black and white?

That makes a total of 9, so we need 1 more and we would be able to get a stupid deal on the seats.

Could all of the above people please make a post as to confirm whether they definately want these seats or not, and what time scale they are looking at, cause I am looking to get mine ASAP.

Also has anyone else had a chance to try any other places for keener prices?
