Offline | This price includes re-map, new pulley and belt - giving around 210-215bhp and as mentioned before and after rolling road sessions. Interested? Cheers, LB. |

Offline | Most this stuff is covered in the first post (i think ) but here's a re-cap:I believe it takes around 5+ hours (say a day to be on the safe side) so yes you could wait for it. West Tuning are based in Thruxton, Hants. A £200 deposit would be required once the group buy closes to secure your order. Balance to be paid on completion of the job. Want me to put your name down? Cheers, LB. |

Offline | This sounds COOL !! Does anyone have any thoughts on whether this is a bettor option than the tuning package offered by AMD - remap/pulley/pulley belt?? If think it's approx 200bhp for around the same money as the offer here. My MCS has covered 28k miles - would either of these mods have a detrimental effect upon my cars reliability (which to date has been faultless). |

Offline | Welcome to Mini2 mate IMO it is the better option due to the price. With the AMD conversion it gives you 195-200bhp for the same price, they quote £1650 to get 212bhp - which is still less bhp than the West Tuning conversion and almost double the price I don't mean this in a bad way towards AMD - they are highly respected tuners but with this conversion you will get more BHP per £Esentially the AMD and West Tuning packages change the same components but due to some clever ECU re-mapping a further 15bhp is acheived with the West conversion I don't think this conversion will have any detrimental effect on your cars reliability. I have never heard of an engine failure caused by ECU re-mapping and pulley change - and this goes for any tuning company. Cheers, LB. |

| MINI2 Senior | Paul, You are better off going with either BBR, GGR or West Tuning. I would avoid AMD if it were my car. PM me if you would like a drive in my car (BBR) and for impartial information on tuning firms since I have tested every conceiveable conversion out there. Cheers, Henry |

Offline | Not if you have to travel 300+ miles to get them fitted. Will they consider giving a bigger % discount if we arrange fitting ourselves?Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | Interested in Milltek and Brembo 310mm (possibly chip and pulley for MCS too) but won't need the work doing 'til December or January. Is this possible? I know you said deposit in 3 weeks or so/work later but is several months delay OK? Will £200 deposit cover whatever I end up having done? Need to know 'cos this is going on a new car. Not much point in putting it on a car I'll be trading in 4 or 5 months. Also I don't exactly know how many pennies I can commit in 4 months time. The exhaust is certain though. |

Offline | Hi, I'm sorry, but this offer is for fitted only - thats what makes it such a good deal. I hear what you're saying about travelling a great distant though - sometimes it's worth making a road trip to get a good deal - I've certainly done it in the past Ray offers Koni shocks and eibach springs in his suspension packages but this is not covered by the group buy. He will supply and fit eibach springs for £285+vat. He does advise against koni shocks if you do a lot of road driving as the shocks are quite firm for daily use. Cheers, LB. |

Offline | OK mate, I'll put your name down for the MCS conversion - let me know about the Miltek . In the meantime, please can you PM or e-mail me your full name, daytime contact number and e-mail address.A few people have asked me this - I think If you could definately commit to a few months time and pay the deposit then it should be OK - I would prefer to keep it to a few months rather than several though. I'll check with Ray but in the meantime I'll put your name down. EDIT: Checked with Ray - he said this was OK Cheers, LB. Last edited by Leccy_Blue : Aug 19th, 2004 at 11:42 AM. |

Offline | Yes - this conversion is quoted at 240-250bhp for £2960+vat - this is not in the group buy though. If you wanted to get this conversion along with products which are in the group buy such as an exhaust/brake package then you would be entitiled to a 5% discount. That is the 330mm conversion - although I think the calipers may be the same. The 330mm conversion has bell mounted discs while the 310mm conversion has fixed discs. LB. |

| MINI...Grrrreat! | Hi Leccy_Blue Possibly interested, but is is not just my motor, but me girl's as well. Does the tune effect the MPG good/bad, if so how much? Any feedback on TLC servicing by dealers as to will they won't they help? Some garages seem to, some don't from what i read? |

Offline | TBH I'm not too sure about how it affects MPG - I would imagine it would depend on hard you drive it - with an extra 50bhp you may well be booting it round more The engine tuning is undetectable to dealers unless they specifically look at the new supercharger pulley (which is very hidden) - alot of people that have had engine conversions ''FORGET'' to tell their dealers in order to carry on using their TLC.In theory - any modifications to the engine will invalidate the TLC but it all depends whether you want to keep quite about the mods or tell them - I know what I will be doing Cheers, LB. |
