Good news! Looking forward to an update later in the week but at times like this we need to remember people less fortunate than ourselves.

Feeling kinda sorry for Shorty if he can't afford the wheels after signing up for the group buy. Remember folks that a Paper Round and a Saturday Job provide scant relief from the financial commitment that joining a group buy requires. In his honour, I would like to start a Help-Shorty-Buy-His-Wheels campaign. If the wheels cost 400 quid a set we only need 1600 people to pledge 25p to the HSBHW campaign. Any takers?

thanks for all your hard work, deandyross. I will hold-fire on conversation direct with the Italians if you can sort the supply more directly. Your route is far more desirable.

Thanks.

I've raided the piggy bank, and I may have just enough but if you want to buy them for me I
won't argue

Happy to oblige if my lottery numbers come up! Having checked your gallery, why new rims? Your current set up looks pretty good to me. If I had your MCS I'd be spending on engine upgrades but Hartge, Miltek etc upgrades already fitted mean I have nowhere to go or suggest. Maybe you should buy this humbled MINI ONE owner a set of R90 reps instead? Guess that my piggy bank is more a bacon rasher than your full-on spit roasted piglet! Respect due!

Are we actually talking to any one that can supply these? A list of people who want a product is all very nice but a little useless unless we have the full details......
The original Italian company can supply but the shipping for one order is 200 quid, they can obviously make it cheaper with a builk order and need to know how many sets are wanted. The problem then is the delivery once they arrive in the UK......

I think we need to establish is deandyross is still negotiating with his people....

I think deandyoss is still sorting it out, he was on Tuesday anyway. I don't think it hurts to get all our connections going. Simon if you want to talk to your Italian connections and get the ball rolling in that court then we can choose what we want to do. I don't think we are very far at all with this group buy yet but see what you can do if you want. Obviously we like to spend the least amount on these wheels but need a good deal to get it started.

What does everyone else think?

progress report on replicas

Hi guys, sorry to leave you all wondering whats going on. I have had a reply from our importers today the news is not good, at the moment they are currently in trouble with a major vehicle manufacturer for importing replica wheels. Therefore I have had to contact another supplier who is looking into it for me, the only problem is he imports wheels in the hundreds from abroad, he has said he could add the mini rep to his next order but this could take weeks. What I willing to try and do is bring these wheels in myself through my own wheel company, I do not normally import wheels myself but I do not want to let any of you down.

Personally time is not an issue, howevere price is. All I want is a set of wheels to look very similar to the R90's but cost a fraction. We have either got the option of going through you or going through the Italian company. When are you going to find out whether you can get them or not?

Good work Deandyoss! Keep it up!

For me time isn't a consideration. I'm the same as Spillers. I have quite alright wheels but want these wheels. If I can get these lovely wheels cheap I'll wait a while if I have to!
