Mister Liam! R U taking the michael? MOMO's usually go for around $90 to $120 - if someone told you $500 then they need to be pinned down and have a Cannon ball jammed in with a barrel swab!!

The $180 is pricey but you DO get a choice of a funky engraving which is not available on a MOMO.

Just out of curiosity - why for do they call it a shift machine? My first thoughts were that it was a short throw kit. Is this the case or is it just a shifter knob? If it is a short throw shift kit as well then I'm in!!

Haha, I guess my price for the MOMO knob had people excited! I have never actually priced one, that figure just stuck in my mind from some old ad I thought I remembered seeing. Oh well, I guess I musta been wrong!

Maybe we could do a group buy on knob coolers

I'm given to understand that a stubby holder would do the job for you Alan

It could double as a knob warmer on the cold mornings in Tasminia, I like the fire blanket quip Gogadget , they also make long stubby holders that accommodate a dozen stubbies so this might suit some.

Today was a good test for the whalen actually - my car spent all day in the sun. When I went to drive it home the knob was warm but nowhere near as hot as the standard one used to get in similar temperatures.

Honest. Interesting to see how it performs in winter

I'm told that a hot knob hurts almost as much as a cold knob and both can lead to a cold shoulder or even a frigid response???

I be married too and from personal experience i know that the standard knob is very cold in Tasminia in the middle of May, which can lead to all sorts of innuendo when you advise the rest of the MINI people that your knob is cold!

Perhaps I should expand this deal to everyone, and call it a "sale", rather than a group buy.

S'pose any of my customers in the Land Down Under would be offended? I hope not!

I'll post something in the interior & ice forum about it.
Free engraving and free shipping, for all orders placed from now till the end of October; does that ease the pain??
