All,

If you have a factory MINI satellite navigation system installed in your MO, MC, MCC, MCS, or MCCS then this may be for you...

Alex (A.K.A. "Macmini") from www.newmini-technik.de has once again stepped up to the plate for us and is considering offering a group buy for the rear camera retrofit kit (just as he did for the MINI armrest).

Thus, if any of you have an interest in getting the rear camera retrofit kit please post a note on this thread.

Prices (and availability) are yet to be determined, but the more that are interested, the cheaper the kit will probably be.

I have one in my Honda Pilot and love it....I would be interested for my MCS.

One question for when the details are researched....is it possible to feed video from a DVD or game machine with the cameras controller?

All,

I'm sorry to say it, but I've never heard back from Alex on this one and so it appears that the group buy isn't going to happen after all. I'm very sorry about that.

I really wanted to get a hold of one of the cameras and so I went ahead and special ordered one of the retrofit kits direct from Germany (It should be here any day now). I'll document the install and let you all know how it went and what I think of the camera once it's finished.

P.S. Paul if you'd like to go ahead and delete this thread so as not to lead anyone else on about the group buy, that's okay with me. I'll post a new thread dealing with the install once I'm ready. Sorry for all of the hassle.
