Hmmm, JCW engine upgrade, i am sure a deal can be struck. However, i am having a few problems finding 2 people to fill this group buy......

When this one is complete i can ask the question (now there is an incentive to get some interest together for the brakes group buy )

A few questions:

Is this a Coventry dealer?

Are the rear brakes changed?
-All the pictures I have seen are of the front brakes

What is/is not covered in TLC/warranty with these brakes

Thanks

They only change the pads on the rear... and from what I was told the complete package is covered by the warranty and will be serviced by the dealer in the normal way... so doesn't affect the TLC... so if the pads require changing as part of a service, you will pay only for the parts as normal.

aye... that's the way it is... I'm not sure if I should get the rear calipers painted or not... gut feeling is not tbh as it looks fine the way it is... it's just down to personal taste on that one I suppose

I hate to impose...but since you have the brakes on your MINI, now. Could you see what name is cast on the hat? or maybe you had a chance to see the boxes the kit came out of. I am looking to find out who makes the rotor? Thx in advance!

I know the pads have a BMW stamp on them... got the boxes with my old discs in them... so I'll have a look. tbh I forgot to ask them when they were fitting them ... since they've been done by BMW braking special division in conjunction with JCG, I suspect they will be BMW produced items

Sorry Pete

But I can't wait any longer - I'm going to have to bail on this as I really need to fix my brake as soon as! Car is pretty awful to drive at the moment as the vibration is only getting worse.

I'll be getting an AP Racing BBK fitted next week.

Good luck with the GB though - and if you and Rakey ever get the Works 210 as aGB I'll be there!

No problem, I understand. If people are prepared to wait for others to make the numbers up then I am happy to leave this GB open, otherwise, suggestions on a post card please......

United-States You guys need to make the most of the Pound!!!

Maybe I am wrong but wouldn't it be easier to just buy the brakes from the US? I mean these things only retail for 950 DOLLARS, and I think that the strength of the Pound is def. in your favor. Does this make sense or am I overlooking something?

Decision time....

Hi peeps

I think this GB has been running long enough to gauge if there is sufficient interest or not in the JCW brakes. So, I put the question to the people interested, shall i close the thread due to lack of interest or are you happy to keep waiting for 3 more people to come along?

Thanks everyone

Pete
