Hi,

It's been a while since I did a group buy so thought it was about time I did another one. I have been in contact with Graham at GRS Motorsport and have managed to secure some great group buy prices for Mini2 members on the GRS intercooler - the price will change accordingly depending on the number of intercoolers sold. The more sold - the greater the discount. They are as follows:

15% discount based on 5 being sold (£339)
20% discount based on 10 being sold (£319)
25% discount based on 15 being sold (£299)

Intercoolers come supplied with both under bonnet diffusers (see pictures below).
The GRS Intercooler normally retails at £399, so as you can see there is some major savings to be made here.

GRS will also provide a free fitting service at their workshop based in the South West (Yeovil). Intercooler's will come with a standard brush finish or for an extra charge of £25 can be supplied mirror polished. Delivery is an extra £15. This group buy is only available in the UK (sorry non-UK).

Here is some info on the intercooler taken from the GRS website(http://www.grsmotorsport.co.uk/minicoopers.html):

“The standard Intercooler on the Mini Cooper S will only keep Air Charge Temperatures (ACT's) down to a satisfactory level with boost levels of no more than around 8-9psi. Once the boost pressures have been raised the ACT's associated with the higher boost levels can be excessive for a standard intercooler.

As ACT's rise, power is lost due to the air containing less oxygen. The GRSmotorsport Intercooler has been designed to keep the ACT's to a satisfactory level. When the GRSmotorsport intercooler was tested on the rolling road it showed no more than 38 degrees at all times, at 13-14psi, thus ensuring that maximum power is always available even in hot weather”.

These intercoolers are the pefrect upgrade for anyone with a tuned MCS or someone just wishing to improve upon the stock intercooler. They're fairly easy to fit and for anyone concerned about it effecting their warranty, the intercoolers can be swapped over in no time at all to revert back to the stock unit for servicing etc

Now is the time to get one with the hot weather aproaching, I can honestly say mine is apsolutely first class, I never would have thought a better IC would make such a difference in the hotter weather keeping performance to the max..All I can say is poor old Graham it looks like he may be busy for a while...
