Offline | JD's thoughts I would like to share my feelings on the current situation with the rest of the Group Buy peeps... Ultimately I have the greatest amount of respect for ButtonIt & Rakey for their commitment in organising, and furthermore maintaining this endeavour! Every enquiry I have made, to these guys, has been politely received, and any help I have had to offer during the ongoing maintenance of the original thread has been appreciated! Cheers Lads !!!I have the deepest sympathy with those of involved who are now impatient, frustrated, or p***ed off about the supply (I use the word ‘supply’ to imply the manufacturer not Prestons/Dale) of the skirts… I was stung with a large credit card bill this month and contemplated weather my £250-odd quid was in the wrong place. I also remember wondering if the skirts or my MCS would arrive first… my MCS now has 2100 miles on the clock in 6 weeks ownership. I am inclined to believe jimimac’s point about this groupbuy…although having waited 6months for my car I don’t think anything is beyond our manufacturer! I will be frank… I hope my skirts (er… I mean our’s(- with mine 1st obviously )) turn up before the best part of summer is over, lets be honest that's when all our Mini’s will look their best !I’m impatient, and a little peeved, but I tell myself all good things etc, and remind myself of what my dealer wanted for them when I enquired about having them fitted at delivery! I hope others will share my viewpoint. JD ![]() |

| Hangin at the Krusty Krab | If they arrive around Xmas time, just think - another prezzie.... I'm happy to wait. At the end of the day, it's a great deal, and a lot of effort has gone into it. The £300 I've paid has now been covered, so I'm not after a refund. It would be nice to have them soon, but I'm happy that all that can be done, has been. Besides, the longer Tommy2 sits without his skirts (no puns please ), the more chance there is of me thinking - something's missing, I need to mod..............P.S. got the 4 spots on now (thanks for the other group buy). Next is a set of strut braces........ |

Offline | Did you mean fishy grammar or shi**y grammar??? My skirts have been fitted at least 2 weeks and extremely happy with the look. I can certainly sympathise with those still waiting |

Offline | I do agree with JDinho with what he has said, I couldn't be more appreciative for the wonderful deal that everyone has sorted out for us. It's just a little frustrating that you have paid for something that you aren't getting the benefit from and the fact that the summer is ticking away and there's no end in sight. But hey I am sure they will be here soon (he says crossing his fingers!!!) ![]() |
