Offline | Yeah seriously considering it... When do I have til to commit??? (cant promise anything but thinking about it) Also, I asked the question before but, Minigolf your car is still covered by the warranty, and your comfortable with this? I asked my cousin today about warranties and stuff (he owns one of only two S/C S2000 in Aus) and he said much the same as MiniFr34k that the warranty claim could only be rejected if the non compliant part was found to be at fault, not that the part voided the warranty. Is this what we all understand to be the situation? |

Offline | Approximately US0.74/1AU on sydney morning herald today. sooo US250 = AU$338. Also peter, would it be possible to include an ALTA short shifter and ALTA antenna to the group buy as well? Ill pay the extra for shipping but it should be cheaper than buying them individually aye? |

Offline | To be honest I haven't really worried too much about the warranty implication for this. I figure it's an intake, a) what can really go wrong and b) so long as I'm not modding the engine proper that should be okay. But these are my thougts only, if you're worried, don't take my word for it ... seek professional help!* ![]() ![]() Cheers Liam *By that I mean speak to your dealer, I'm not having a go. ![]() |

Offline | Just found this thread thanks to Liam's heads up in another thread. Count me in for an ALTA CAI with hose. I'll have it in red if that's possible (to match the red filter). According to the USPS postage calculator, Australia is "rate group" 9 and airmail parcel post works out to US$11.45 plus US$4.03 per lb. There's not much advantage in posting as one large order as opposed to several small ones ... except that it probably saves the supplier a bit of work (ie. negotiate better price!).\ BTW the install instructions are here (Todd's previous link doesn't go directly to the thread). I've also had a tip from a mate that we should ask to have the parcels labelled as "motorcycle parts". Apparently they get through without attracting duty, although I've no idea why that would be the case! |

Offline | Yeah I'm in for a blue hose.................... Those worried about warranty issues should note that its only about a 15 minute job to re install the factory filter assembly in the case of a warranty claim...... John. |

Offline | Good work Pete. I guess we need to stay tuned for some firm payment/ordering details now. If Guran's postage estiamtes are correct we should be able to come in at around US$220 or a smidge under AU$300. That would be some good buying. ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Hmm, doesn't seem like blue foam is something that ALTA is that keen on following up on, even though I think it could be done... http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...089#post589089 Oh, I agree that AU$300 would be a great price, but I hope I haven't built up expectations too much, I'm still expecting to pay somewhere between AU$320-350. Anything less is a bonus! ![]() |
