Offline | Rolands tips are good. Put the boots on the IC horns. The small end you can slide over the stop lip fairly well and not too hard. The large end isn't as easy. It ends up a bit cocked so you have to feed the IC in towards you. Get the small end in place first that way you can push towards the small end to get the large end started. Sounds harder than it is really. Since there are no guides like the OEK boots you have to make sure the clamps are aligned right. Nice and perpendicular to the IC and parallel as well. The clamps are a bit of a tight fit so it takes a good squeeze the get them closed enough top get the bolt started. Like I posted earlier though this all makes for a nice firm fit. Oh yea. If you have a stock IC or the GRS make sure you get the 2 front bolts lined up before final clamp down. |

Offline | Some good tips & pics guys, thanks. I think Im going to buy BMW a file & a 'quick-burr' for christmas. Watch those lethal knife edges they leave on the small horn where they have milled the eliptical step on the casting. Whenever we fit an intercooler I always deburr this as a matter of course. Best Regards Roland GTT |
