The Brand New GTT Front Mount Intercooler + new pics on car

Hi Guys, here are the first ever pics of the forthcoming GTT Front Mount Intercooler that will incorporated in the new GTT300T & GTT350T conversions. (This is for the 'original' MCS not the R56.)
-However it will not fit with Supercharger still on.
Capacity of the core section is over double the stock unit but more importantly the unit is mounted front on into the airstream with every part of the front face fully exposed to the airstream. To quantify this , the 'hole' through which air has to go to reach the intercooler is about 1500% (15 times) greater than the slot in the bonnet scoop that feeds the stock top mounted unit.
Also the (IMO horrible) black plastic lower grille/mesh is removed to further improve airflow to the intercooler and improve the cosmetics too. The intercooler sits in the recess in the bumper (set back into it) We can anodise the intercooler in silver, black, blue, red etc to keep it looking good and give either the subtle or loud appearance that suits you . I think he GTT intercooler sprays look good too and just sets it off nicely.
The whole unit is designed /made by GTT.
NB -See Post 15 for new pics on car.
Best Regards Roland GTT

Arrow Excellent

Superb, that's going to look amazing in the lower grille. Does it sit forwards, or flush with the original black grill that is removed? The water spray looks good too.

waiting for when the twin charged option arrives, maybe 2008?

good to know of any 'mechanical' enhancements to the GTT260 package that fall out of the GTT300T developments....

Cheers,
K.

hi , we wont be doing a twin charge setup as is a step backwards IMHO .It is easier to design , but it doesnt address (remove) the weak areas of the stock setup .We only want to do it once ; turbo only will be better. Some parts from GTT 260 can be used such as head,cam,63mm TB pulleys , cat or GTT de-cat (from our GTT 2pc cat manifold).
The intercooler sits in a similar position (front to back) as the mesh. the core is straight and there is a kick (backwards) on the tanks at each end to make it look right.

Hi roland, yet again some impressive stuff there, so just to clarify myself, this will only be available to the first gen MCS cars with the GTT turbo set up etc, is that right, as a front mount won't fit in with the superchager also??

Black Cooper head cam

Hi Roland I have your 220 mod pack, what would a modded head cam do for the car? Thanks

Hi ,going from GTT220 upto GTT250/260 (head & cam) is an easily upgradable, and cost effective path.
Check out our website for the differences in the various packages.

Hi guys Ok here are the first pics on the car. The intercooler spray will be an optional extra.
the Stainless steel lower trim can be satin, mirror polished or black. Its a perfect spot for the GTT badge too.
ps Im going to change the M6 socket button bolts for M5 when they come in.
Best Regards Roland GTT

Looks good, but its a shame so much of the end tanks are showing.

Is the trim there to reinforce the bumper as the grill isnt holding it together any more?

How will this look on a GP? I think the opening is larger on a GP bumper. The grill isnt so easily removed on a GP either, as the grill includes the lower vents over the fog light location.

There are 9 fixings holding the bumper to the car so its nice and rigid. The trim is mostly cosmetic . We havnt even looked at doing a GP bumper version. There will be a similar second version for Aerokit bumpers though.
