New GTT In Car Boost Controller+pics

Hi guys, here are a couple of pics of the GTT 'Fully Variable In Car turbo Boost Contol ' and 30psi Boost guage. It mounts to the right of the steering wheel on the dash below the airvent. Nice and visable, easy to use & doesnt get in the way. It will be on the options list of the forthcoming GTT300T (turbo) conversion. The bezel is available in anodised blue or black. From inside the bonnet a boost ceiling is preset using another GTT product the 'Spider Valve'. Boost range is fully adjustable on the move over one full turn of the control. Typically we expect this to be preset to allow user adjustment from 14psi to 21psi.
-Allows a more relaxing power for day to day driving and all hell to let loose at the turn of a dial!
Best Regards Roland GTT

Thumbs up Excellent

Power control, that is great. Allowing the car to run on half power almost, saving fuel, wear and tear, and your licence

I assume there is no gauge required for the scharger versions as the boost is not controllable and doesn't need to be verified.

You should convert the dial into a button that reads "Sport Button" to show bmw what their setting should really have achieved

Cheers,
K.

Hi, unfortunatly superchargers dont allow boost fully variable boost control. Turbos are rarely using all the available exhaust through the turbine ,therefore boost can be increased easily. I want a sport button to pin me in the seat... the GTT version will do just that ,or any setting in between.

Almost very boost control in the world is a form of bleed valve. Boost is increased by bleeding off air going to the actuator. It can be mechanical of electro mechanical. Almost every modern turbo car on the road has one, a signal from the ecu opens the valve which 'bleeds off'. I agree many bleed valves are crude (but not not because they bleed). eg on a £60,000 RS6 the 'bleed valve' (electro mechanical) is called the N75 valve.
I can assure you there is nothing crude whatsoever about our in car boost controller. eg L168 Aerospace Alloy,3B tolerance thread, Camotzi push in fittings, sensitivity regulator, return back to clean side of filter etc etc.Best Regards Roland GTT

DIY N75

Ha !

My mate shares the same valve - he is always talking about it.
Seems to work without problems and his car is chipped, and very fast!!!

:-)

As Roland says, it's not just the application, quality is just as important.

I mean, look at chefs knives - you can have two identical items, but check them a few months later and one is blunt and rusty, the other is still performing as new. Same applies to car parts...

Cheers,
K.

300t?

Please don't tell me that I'm going to have to buy an R56 so I can have the latest toys from GTT fitted! 300 sounds like fun!

I love the idea of a variable boost control in car - almost enough to go and chop the SuperBee in for a new model - but not quite.

Maybe I'll see what other goodies become available for the turbo car first (whilst I spend some more cash on improving the old one)

Thats good to know just a friend had a problem with a bleed valve where the poxy think kept upping the boost on him, he then switched to an adjustable accutator, an on his current car a Blitz computer to do the boost levels

Hi, There is a new Boost gauge ( GTT Face) with dash mounted pod we are about to release. We will supply:- Boost/Vacuum Gauge assembled in the pod + fixings for the dash (no drilled holes!), a quick release fitting in the back of the gauge, 1.5metres of blue tubing (external diameter only 4mm, so easy to route through the bulkhead,) 'T' piece, & a second short hose to manifold .
Gauge is in psi and has the ideal range of -15psi to +30psi. It also has a backlight if you want to wire it in.
The faces are available in Black,White, Carbon, Blue, Yellow or Red. The Pod has a polished alumium front section and a black rear section, which looks very similar to the stock speedo style.
New thread coming soon with prices etc.
Best Regards Roland GTT
