..one of these days, one of them will soil themselves during a hot lap - not a good interior (or exterior, for that matter) smell for a high-performance MINI such as yours.

You're probably ok as long as they're screaming, but if they suddenly go all quiet, stiff, and petrified - you might have a problem.
