The new GTT300TM & GTT280T 'Quickspool' Conversion

How are these 280T conversions going? Any customer cars with this conversion done yet?

Not sure if there are some posts missing, I remember reading one post quoting a cost of around £6-7K for this conversion but can't seem to find it now, and there's no mention of it on the GTT website

Maybe it was a seperate thread that mentioned the price but I can't seem to find it...

Hi, we are now offering a GTT300 TM (top mount) conversion, spec as per post 41 but now with the identical turbo used on GTT300T /GTT350T, therefore will produce higher peak power than the GTT280 QS.
Price is £6495+vat fitted, and we can commence with just 2 weeks notice. We require car for 4 weeks approx. This conversion also allows aircon to be retained and achieves a more stealth appearance from the outside.

that's a reasonable price compared to other turbo conversions out there:-

, i think bbr's 300bhp turbo kit is £18000!!! (although i think it includes a solid tappet assembly,stage 2 head, front mount intercooler,LSD,big brake kit, modded suspension,&exhaust system, so it may be lower if you have some of the things already)

and there's alta across the pond, but their costing is parts only -close to £3000 incl vat - they use the garret turbo too, but their setup isn't emissions compliant! although they can modify it to ensure that for UK buyers.-might be attractive for the DIYer.-not me!
