Offline | What sort of gains have you seen, and where have you seen them? I don't suppose you have any dyno sheets of before and after? Would be interested in seeing the differences, not just peak BHP, but the rest of the graph. Does the remapped car have the bigger injectors and your adjustable fuel pressure rail? I though the rail means you could get the fueling correct without a remap. |

Offline | Hi Guys, ok the first thing to stress here is ALL data/testing etc is completed on tarmac , NEVER a Rolling Road. Without wishing to repeat things too much, the RR cannot simulate 'real life' loads/cooling/airflow. If you tune for peak HP on a RR then it will certainly be compromised on the tarmac. In particular, timing may be too retarded and fuelling too lean. We prefer to use the GTT 440cc injectors + GTT Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator as the optimum 'starting point' prior to any mapping , this gives linear fuel pressure V boost pressure even with increased boost (small pulley). . We use a fuel pressure guage to set this first. Next we connect the wideband A/F meter and log the ratios at various rpm points and also in various gears (this changes load and airflow). We then if necessary adjust the map to achieve target AF ratio based on this data. Once correct we carry out other tests particularly high load tests to find the knock point, again this may enable timing to be advanced at certain points , or retarded at others. We can use knock meter,OBD2 data or ears to alert us of knock........Believe me ears going up a hill in 4th gear is by far the best method. Of course we can use this oportunity to increase both rev limit and/or idle speed if required. Its very important to have the right fuel in prior to the above (99 Ron), at will effect knock in particular quite alot. Price......from £249+vat This differs from mth mapping in that mth maps are optimised for any given list of products, our new system optimises for the entire package taking in even small variations between cars....but above all its all done on the road, which is where most people want it to be at its best. We will not map for peak power ,a good sized reliability headroom buffer is always left in! ![]() |

Online | At last some good news on the mapping front. Will you also be able to 'soften' the traction control cut in effect - we have talked about this before as some of us do actually leave it on sometimes. How long do you need the car for ?? Could be heading your way in late July to complete what we started last year. In Italy |

Offline | I cant say I am too interested in peak power, but the area under that. If you ever get the chance, it would stil be great to see a before/after comparisons. ie. RR, data logging, 30-70 etc. I know that wont show drivability improvements, but should show performance. Is the remapping done with DimSport equipment? Are you able to lessen the effects of traction control? Always seems a bit on/off to me, even more so when you add more power to a MCS. |

Offline | Not sure on the traction control (I'll look into that). Yes butt dyno and stopwatch on the same car on the day on the same bit of tarmac in the same gear, between any 2 speed or rpm points is a very good test.......its actual driving afterll . ![]() |

Offline | Hey this stuff sounds pretty good! Is it a GTT in-house approach to remapping to solve the problem of MTH's business failing to turn around products in a timely and reliable fashion? Furthermore, will GTT pro-mapping be applicable to the R50 (ONE/Cooper), Roland? I'd be very interested indeed if it is... Also, would this be a map you'd have to take a reading for and send off (relying on an external company for a quick turn-around), or can it all be accomplished by GTT within one day or one weekend? As you know from our discussions when I last had my MINI with you, I'd love to get my ONE remap done by GTT but being based up in Glasgow makes it's quite difficult for me to get all the way down to Blandford on a regular basis. Therefore, it'd make the world of difference if this was a service that could be accomplished in one visit down ( ) rather than requiring two separate trips (something I might not be able to manage/afford).Many thanks, Andrew. PS The car is running absolutely fantastic after your service, Roland. Much appreciated! ![]() * * * * * NeuroBeaker Proud owner of "Zeus" (a 'slightly modified' 2004 Mini ONE). |

Offline | Hi ppl. just got the car back from roland with the GTT pro-mapping on. the car is stinking fast now!! just like to say thanx to roland and john for all the work on the car. absolutely brilliant products and brilliant service. btw, have been driving it hard to over the weekend to see the limits of the car and all is going smooth at the moment. only prob is the decat pipe...its a tad too loud. the car sounds like a scooby! im actually embarassed! no offence to scooby owners out there. im just getting funny stares from the folks here. neurobreaker: as the mapping was done 'on-road', Roland had to keep the car a good couple of days to make sure the mapping was perfect for my set-up.
