Hi Guys
Took delivery of our brand new cooper s in march. Soon discovered it had one wheel different to the rest. Ordered it with 17 inch R85 S spokes . Wheels looked the same from front but completely different on back. Three were made in Czech. and had flat backs to the spokes, the other one was made in Hungary and had strenghtening ribs along the back of each spoke,approx. 20mm wide by 15mm deep by 150mm long. The latter also weighed 1/2 kilo less. Of course, no one believes it until they see it in the flesh,then takes a month to get a replacement. Was there ever a recall since they were allerted to this?
Probably not. They really are a bunch of buffoons......

Thanks Miniac,You would think they would put 4 the same on each vehicle. The ribbed one I had was definately a little lighter than the other three. Only reason we noticed was we were changing them for something lighter ,they completly destroy the handling,Why couldn't they just use normal 17"wheels/tyres and pop a tin of foam in the boot.
